Laury Hill Reflects On "The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill" (VIDEO)

There are very few people in my life that intimidate me, other than Oprah, I'm thinking Lauryn Hill makes the list. Ya know when you hear, see or are around a person and you think to yourself: DAMN! He/She is wise beyond their years. That's Lauryn Hill for me! And we're not going to go into how incredibly talented she is. That's a whole 'nother Post!

In the above footage, Singer/MC Lady Hill sat down for a rare (yall know she doesn't do too many of these) interview where she reflects on her classic album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, that brought about many awards and accolades for her, and ultimately led to her brief break from the music industry.

“I acted as sort of a bridge between an older generation and younger generation and how to put those styles together. I think Miseducation was really what that was all about, being a bridge between generations that could very well have drifted off in separate directions. I made a piece of music from a sincere place. I think that sincerity has no choice but to resonate with people.”

Oh Lord! This isn't gonna go so well.

Model turned wanna be actor Selita Ebanks sat down with "Naughty But Nice with Rob," on HDNetto give an interview where she was asked about Diddy as a kisser (she acted with him on 'Hawaii 5-0') and Nick Cannon's "Mariah Carey private area" (if you know what I mean). Oh, but it gets better! She not only 'kissed and told', but she also spoke about "not really" being engaged to Nick Cannon:

“I mean I technically wore a ring but I don’t think I was really engaged. I want a Prince. I want Prince Harry. Do you think the queen would accept me?”

And as far as kissing she gives Cannon a “meh” but was less enthusiastic about his other, most private asset giving it an even less passionate “meh.”

Let me go on record by saying that I feel that this was TACKY of her to say! I mean, has she enrolled in Public Relations 101??? Give a politically correct answer and be on your way. And it was quite obvious she realized she stuck her foot in her mouth afterwards.

Evelyn Talks About Her "Love" Ochocinco And Their Move To Boston

Reality star/business woman Evelyn Lozada sat down with the Boston Herald magazine where she spoke about her new life with New England Patriots star Chad Ochocinco. The two have moved to Foxboro, MA in a two-bed, two-bath love nest just minutes from the stadium.

But for those who haven't heard, Ocho plans to live with a fan for a little while to get more acquainted with the city. Anything for some press, I tell ya! But will Evelyn be moving in with the fan also?

“He wants to do it, so he will. But that fan better be married with kids. And it won’t be a female fan. It’s a little strange staying at someone’s house who you don’t know. But that’s Chad,” she said. “But me, I won’t be going.”

And why is he doing this again? Oh, because he wasn't loved as a child and needs LOTS of attention. I get it.

So, will Chad and Evelyn be going on any double dates with Tom Brady and wife Gisele Bundchen?: “I’m not opposed to a double date. I’d invite them out. We’re hoping to bring some flavor and fun to Boston. Maybe it could be Tom, Gisele, Evelyn and Chad take over Boston. That would be cool.”

On her being labled a "gold-digger": “Listen, first of all, I met Antoine in New York. I’m not one of those girls who chase. I’m not sitting in front of the hotel. This is how my life played out for me,” she said. “When I started dating my ex (Walker), once you date one, you’re labeled. It doesn’t bother me. I didn’t chase Chad. It’s just something that happened.”

On having twins with Ochocinco: Lozada, who has an 18-year-old daughter, and Ocho, who has four kids, are planning on expanding their family with twin boys, already named Pepe and Esteban, through IVF. They’ve made the deposit — monetary and genetic — and are just waiting to make their liaison legal. “The twins are waiting for me,” she said. “That’s the great thing about in vitro. You can plan rather than having an oopsie.”

I just can NOT with these two. So contrived. But hey, if they can make it work, more power to them! We'll see if it lasts....

To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself – if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now."

Beyonce Knowles sat down with Access Hollywood where she spoke about wanting to have kids before the age of 40 (I'm not gonna hold my breath for this):

“I would love to direct and continue to learn videos and maybe by then [do] a short film, a documentary. I just hope that I’m happy and into my children and well adjusted and still making music, if that makes me happy at that time.” 

She also spoke about  feeling "weirded out" with filming a wedding scene in her "Best Thing I Never Had" video with another man, other than her husband Jay-Z:

“It was a little strange and definitely when I walked down the aisle, I’m like, ‘This is kind of creepy. There’s some other man standing here,’” she laughed, while adding, “It was really beautiful and people were all really excited like it was my wedding. My mother was even like, ‘Aww.’ I’m like, ‘Mom, it’s a video. This is not the real wedding.’”

Reality star/business woman Paris Hilton was interview by ABC’s Dan Harris, where she was asked about her current place in the whole "famous for being famous" trend that Hilton helped create in the entertainment industry. 

Harris asked Paris if she felt she was being overshadowed by her former friend Kim Kardashian and if she is concerned about her popularity. Paris did answer the question with a "NO", but the interview was interrupted by Paris' publicist who obviously didn't like the direction the interview was going.

I've said this time and time again, there would be no Kim K without Paris. She laid the blueprint. But Paris, if you wanna remain a "factor", you better take a page outta Madonna's handbook and get to reinventing yourself...STAT!

"Octomom" Nadya Suleman tried her best to conduct an interview with Ann Curry and the TODAY show this morning while her 2-year-old octuplets and nine-year-old daughter, Amara, went haywire on the set.

Their visit entailed falling over set lights, drawing on desks, hiding behind stage walls, etc etc etc.

Let's just say, complete and utter chaos doesn't begin to properly describe this scene. I'm exhausted.

Nadya did have this to say about having 14 children:

"I personally cannot waste my energy fixating on the past and my past choices, regardless if they were good or bad choices ... Learn to grow as a result of your choices, own and accept the responsibility of your choices and look forward because if you look back, what are you going to do, stab me? You're just going to stab me forever and grow old."

The Interview: Lupe Fiasco v. Bill O'Reilly! (VIDEO)

A Damn Mess!

Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco was a guest on Bill O'Reilly's broadcast, The O'Reilly Factor, where he was asked to discuss and clarify his remarks about comments he made calling, President Barack Obama "a terrorist". HMPH!

To put it into context, I was asked about a song I did called ‘Words I Never Said’ which addresses terrorism. So the statement that I made which was ‘I believe that the biggest terrorist [is] Obama and the United States of America and it’s foreign policy,’ that was what the whole context of everything was. And it’s really just an expression of me trying to understand critically the society.

Needless to say, neither party got anywhere! The two just bickered like a couple, and no point was made in my opinion.

Lupe, no one said that you couldn't have an opinion about the President and his policies, but PLEASE be prepared to elaborate and articulate on those beliefs ESPECIALLY when asked on TV by Bill O'Reilly.

"Basketball Wives" star Tami Roman stopped by the WBLS radio station with Egypt in NYC yesterday where she talked about her ever popular reality show Basketball Wives, the WRETCHED WINCH Evelyn Lozada (I'm sorry...I CAN NOT STAND HER PORTRAYAL on TV....its disgusting!) and her new book entitled The B.I.T.C.H. Chronicles.

Lots of folks say that Tami is a drunk (which I don't believe), she is a shyt starter, blah blah blah. But in my opinion, her and Royce are the most real on the show. The others give off a superficial life that they even don't believe themselves. HMPH!

Even though you were making moves pre-spotlight, many folks were introduced to you via Kanye West. How have these last years been with less media attention?

I think after experiencing being with somebody that is a celebrity, it's really nice to have your anonymity. I'm a mom so I would much rather be able to be out with my son and have nobody recognize me. I really think that's a cool thing as opposed to doing red carpets or something like that, but only if it's really pertaining to my line because that's what I'm trying to sell… I'm not really trying to sell myself.

Another one of Kanye’s exes, Amber Rose, once went on the radio and said something to the effect of "You see Kanye's other ex, he was with her for six years, took her the same places and no one even remembers her name now..." Did that sting?
I believe that you get what you want out of a situation and Kanye will tell you, that I didn't [want that attention]. It's weird. I'll get on the red carpet and over-criticize myself. I don't want that attention. She wanted that and that's what she got out of it. But if I want to go to King magazine [Ed Note: This interview was conducted prior to Amber Rose's June 2011 King cover] right now and be in a sexy bathing suit I'm sure I'd generate some type of interest. It's just the decisions you make that put you where you are. She is where she's at because that's where she wants to be and I'm where I'm at because that's where I want to be also. I was kind of like "Girl please." I just laughed that off, brushed that one right off my shoulders. She doesn't really know what she's saying, so I can't even be mad at her. She doesn't even know the half.

What was your reaction to seeing those two for the first time?

I think that at that point, you know sometimes you go through things and you're like "I just want to do something different" and I think that's what he was experiencing at that time so he just did something different. Not to say that she's bad and I'm good, nothing like that, but that's just what he wanted at that time.

If you had to give any type of advice to Amber since she’s now an infamous Kanye West ex, what you would tell her?

I have no comment on that. I just have no words for her. But I wish her luck in her future, everybody deserves somebody. 

Let’s put one more rumor to rest – did you ever have a gag order? 

Hell no! Because seriously when Kanye and I first met he wasn't as major as he is now and we were real friends, so how do I ask my friend who's been there for so long and all of sudden be like ‘You can't say this.’ Like no, I'm not doing that. He wouldn't even ask. 

Think you’d date another rapper?

I don't think I would date another rapper. I don't foresee it.
 

What are the three most important lessons you've learned from being in this crazy industry?

I've learned that no matter what, you always have to be yourself and hold your head up high and have respect for yourself. I've learned that the industry can get a bad rep, but if you're able to be around certain people and experience new things, just take it as something that's good and learn from it and be inspired by it because there is definitely inspiration. And about being in a high profile relationship... just keep your business to yourself.

For the life of me, I have NO IDEA why Kanye would go from this to Amber Rose! Hmph! I guess he really did just wanna try something 'different'. How did that work out for ya, Ye? Fellas. NEVER downgrade...

"Basketball Wives" Meeka Claxton Talks About The Drama And Her Regrets On Doing The Show (VIDEO)

Hmph! Where do I begin with this girl?!

Basketball Wives newest cast member Meeka Claxton (wife to retired NBA star Speedy Claxton) sat down with NYC's The Breakfast Club radio to speak about her role on the popular reality show, her surprise about how they painted her, which Basketball "Wife" she likes the most and more!

During the interview, Meeka constantly made excuses for her portrayal on the show saying she was quite shocked and turned off with how they made her out to be. She did own up to the fact that this is a REALITY SHOW and most feed off of drama, so she can't be too mad at the portrayal. She wants the viewing public to know that she is NOT two-faced (yeah, okay....) and as she repetitively said throughout the interview: "I don't do birds..." *side-eye*

See this is my problem with reality stars like Mizz Claxton. They NEVER own up to their actions on camera and ALWAYS blame editing! Meeka, the producers would have NOTHING to edit if you didn't say those things outta your mouth....ACCEPT IT!

The bottom line is this....YOU'RE MESSY! Point.Blank.Period. And now you're upset that folks see exactly the person you are.

That's what you get for judging Royce so quickly (because she is a dancer...FOH!) and trying to be down with the "cool kids" *cough, cough...WHORES (except Jennifer...I like her)*
