Via Andy Cohen's blog entitled "Picking Up The Pieces":
We're all still trying to process yesterday's very sad news, and looking at how to proceed with the series, which has finished primary production and was set to premiere on Labor Day. We'll let you know what we decide when we do. In the meantime, we're sending our thoughts and prayers to Taylor and the rest of Russell's family.
BRAVO has a very TOUGH decision to make on their hands. While their main priority is to their audience and advertisers to put out quality programming, dealing with the death of one of their reality stars is a tough situation to deal with.
Should they carry on with showing Russell and Taylor Armstrong's tumultuous relationship as scheduled? Or should they completely edit out any negative clips of the couple due to sensitivity? I mean, Russell did have young children.
As an avid watcher of the Housewives, I would still want to see how Taylor and Russell's relationship played out and what led to Taylor filing for divorce. But for BRAVO, they have a responsibility to make sure that Taylor is comfortable with what they air.
From BRAVO TV Executive/Host to now Author, life is looking pretty good for Andy Cohen. The Hollywood Reporter is stating that the man behind the hit Housewives franchise has scored a seven-figure book deal with Henry Holt for publication in summer 2012 for his untitled memoir.
Cohen’s book will trace his life from a closeted gay teen growing up in the suburbs of St. Louis during the '70s and '80s to his career as a producer at CBS This Morning and 48 Hours to his current role as a programming executive at Bravo. Cohen will also tell how such pop culture classics as The Brady Bunch and Donnie and Marie inspired his career and helped him navigate his life.
I wonder if Andy ever thought he would be as popular and successful as he is now?! I don't know many TV executives who have dual roles behind and in front of the TV, and can do BOTH so well!
And the rich keep getting richer! And my only question is: CAN A BYTCH GET A PIECE OF THE PIE!!!
Bravo TV executive and 'Watch What Happens Live' host Andy Cohen was a guest on Ryan Seacrest's radio program yesterday. The two powerhouses discussed many things: the success of the Real Housewives franchise, Bethenny Frankel and rumors of both Andy and Ryan taking over Regis Philbin's spot on "Live" once he retires.
But my ears perked up when Andy and Ryan revealed on air that they will be collaborating on a new reality television series that focuses on the huge Persian-American community in Los Angeles (FYI...I despise when someone refers to a group of people as 'Persian'...that's a damn rug! These people are mainly from Iran!).
The show will highlight the zany behavior and extreme wealth that a lot of these people have in Los Angeles.
As always, you KNOW I will be tuned in! Cant wait! Peep Andy's full interview with Ryan above.
