Mariah Carey CONFIRMED On "X-Factor" US!

It was quite obvious that Simon Cowell was hell bent on getting Mariah Carey on the US version of  "X-Factor", and I'm not mad!

Carey won't appear as a judge on the program but rather a guest of a judge. Hmmmmmmm. Guest of a judge?
"Mariah is definitely confirmed to be a part of X Factor," the source says. "She is confirmed to tape something with Simon Cowell at the judge’s homes."
The DIVAHHHHHHH is quietly tipping back on the scene, and I'm with it!!!

Oh, Heeeeeey Mariah! Long Time No See.....

Quick question. Why does Mariah  ALWAYS have her "handlers" basically carrying her around? Is she not equipped to walk on her own? I'm just curious.....
In any case, it's good to see the Pop DIVAAAAAAAH back in the swing of things as she was spotted out and about in Manhattan yesterday surrounded by her team.

The 41 year old (Damn, 41? Time flies...) mom was said to be hitting up a gym so that she can get her body back into shape after having her twins Moroccan and Monroe.

In related news, it is being reported that Mariah is preparing for a role on the U.S. version of "X Factor" as a mentor. A source told Entertainment Weekly, “Mariah and Simon are great friends, and now [that] she has had her babies, it’s very possible that she will be involved [in] some way in the later stages of the show. She has always said she wanted to work with the show, so it’s something they will certainly be discussing ideas for soon." Adding fuel to the fire, creator Simon Cowell said, “I think Mariah will have a role on the TV live shows. I met her recently and she was on great form. And her idea was to be the judge of the judges, which only Mariah could come up with.”

Ha! Gotta love her.

US 'X-Factor' Judges Invade New Jersey!

All of the US X-Factor judges - Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid, and Nicole Scherzinger *side-eye* (I still haven' gotten over the fact that they let Cheryl Cole go, but I'll live...) - were on hand greeting fans outside the Prudential Center in New Jersey earlier today.

According to GossipCenter, The judges are "currently going through the audition round and is being reported that the process the contestants must go through comes with a strict list of rules they must abide by. According to the Sun newspaper, hopefuls are not allowed to post pictures on their social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter or talk about how they did on the show. One contestant dished to the Sun about the strict guidelines, saying “It was the most frightening thing I’ve seen. I was worried that I couldn’t even tell my mum how I’d done. We were told that unless you signed the form you weren’t allowed to go do the show. They were saying that it was important the element of surprise was kept in there and that we didn’t just blab everything.” And then added “I could understand that but it has put people on edge as we’re mainly kids – we don’t understand legal jargon.”

You wanna be a STAR? Then sign the damn paper! Simple.

I'm excited to have Simon and Paula back on the TV screen. Are you?

These two! They'll be fighting when the show airs. Mark my words....

I'm still baffled by Nicole as  judge. Pretty gal? YES. Judge? NOPE. Yall couldn't find anybody else, Simon? I don't believe it....

Kelly Rowland Really Loves Her Job As An 'X-Factor' Judge

New "X Factor" judge Kelly Rowland does her version of a Highland fling at the show's auditions at the SECC in Glasgow. The judges of the "X Factor" were given a warm Scottish welcome with Kelly getting a masterclass in Scottish dancing from some young ladies!

Cheryl Cole Being Replaced By Nicole Scherzinger On 'X-Factor'

Ut Oh! I foresee troubling brewing.....

Via People:
The X Factor is all about finding the next big breakthrough star. But Simon Cowell's upcoming Fox show has had enough trouble finding the right lineup of judges. Reports Thursday morning say Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger is replacing British performer Cheryl Cole as a judge. While some think she was fired, the Sun suggests she was simply homesick. "It hasn't worked out," a source tells the paper. "She's homesick and wants to return to the U.K. She's had enough. Whether she ends up back on U.K. X Factor is open to speculation."
Reps for Syco – Cowell's company, which includes The X Factor – are "unavailable for comment." Hmmmmmm. More to come from this story....

Sidebar - Why was Nicole Scherzinger even considered for a role on this show? Simon, you couldn't find a more successful judge/host? No shade....

"X-Factor" Judges At FOX Upfronts Event!

Simon Cowell and his fellow "X-Factor" judges - Paula Abdul, Steve Jones, LA Reid, Nicole Scherzinger and Cheryl Cole - were on hand at the FOX Upfronts event last night at Wollman Rink in Central Park, New York City.

According to a report, it appears that a romance may be brewing between Cole and Steve Jones saying she has “fallen hard” for him:
"They had cozy dinners together when they were in L.A. filming the auditions. They've both had jet lag, so they've been calling each other when they can't sleep late at night.”
Oh!

More flix of the group under the break....

Simon will ALWAYS give you a "Taco Meat" moment, won't he?
Happy these two are back together!

Cheryl Cole Confirmed As Next US "X-Factor" Judge

WELP!
Good news, everyone! Simon Cowell has finally filled the third judge's chair on the eagerly-anticipated U.S. version of his overseas hit, The X Factor (Paula Abdul for seat No. 4, anyone?). The lucky lady: none other than veteran U.K. judge Cheryl Cole. Which begs the question, um, who the hell is Cheryl Cole?
Don't we all wanna know who Cheryl Cole is! All I know, she used to be in a UK singing group called Girls Aloud. But now, Eonline is giving us a peek into more about the new judge.

Peep the answers under the break....

1. She's Britain's Sweetheart: This, ladies and gentlemen, cannot be stressed enough. First, some basics: Cheryl Cole (who actually burst onto the scene as Cheryl Tweedy) is a member of Brit-pop supergroup Girls Aloud, which, believe it or not, is actually the most successful all-girl group ever to grace England's shores (and yes, that's including the Spice Girls). Secondly, Cole is perhaps singularly qualified to judge a singing reality-competition since that is in fact how she got her start—Girls Aloud was cobbled together on Pop Stars: The Rivals, and after a season of auditioning, Cole was one of the five girls ultimately chosen for the group. Incidentally, the judges on that show included Louis Walsh (her fellow X Factor judge in the U.K.) and Geri Halliwell.

2. She's Had Her Share of Scandal. And Then Some: Look, let's just get this out of the way now. The 27-year-old fashion darling has been very publicly (and literally) screwed over. Twice. By the same guy. Who happens to now rightfully be her ex-husband (Ashley Cole - professional footballer who plays for Chelsea and the England national team).

3. She's No Stranger to Feuds: By now, you may be getting the sense that there are some parallels to be drawn between Cole and Victoria Beckham—both are spunky British girl band pop stars who married footballers and went on to become fashion icons (though in that regard, Cheryl still has a long way to go to catch up to dear Posh). And both of their husbands have been accused (one rightly, one not) of infidelity.

4. You Know Her Boyfriend. Though She'll Never Admit It: In the wake of her super public relationship, it's no surprise that Cheryl wants to keep her love life private (good luck with that one), though she's all but confirmed that she's been spending the better part of the last year romantically involved with none other than Derek Hough.

5. She Almost Died Last Year: Seriously. After her marriage imploded, Cheryl and some friends (among them, tellingly, Derek Hough) took a trip to Tanzania. It was on that trip that Cheryl contracted malaria, though she didn't realize it until after her return—fainting at The X Factor was the first massive clue. She incidentally credits Derek with saving her life, as it was at his insistence that she went to the hospital, where she was promptly taken into intensive care.
