As for why the couple met up, Marc's rep reported that he was on the East Coast visiting his children.

Oh. Ok.

We all know how seeing your soon to be ex can rekindle old flames. Lock "it" down JLo. Don't give up the goods. BE STRONG.

I ADORE this woman.....*sigh*

As of late, Jennifer Lopez has been dealing with a LOT in her personal life: negotiating her new contract with FOX's hit show American Idol and now, the end of her 7-year marriage to Latin superstar Marc Anthony.

JLo is finally opening about what led to the demise of her marriage to Vanity Fair magazine and how she wants to move forward with her life:

"It’s not that I didn't love myself before. Sometimes we don't realize that we are compromising ourselves. To understand that a person is not good for you, or that that person is not treating you in the right way, or that he is not doing the right thing for himself – if I stay, then I am not doing the right thing for me. I love myself enough to walk away from that now."

Ya know Dancers, sometimes, as hard as we try, relationships just don't work out. I know JLo may have wondered, "wow...this is my 3rd marriage", but we - as women - should never compromise who we are for anybody else. We only hurt ourselves in the process.

Jennifer Lopez was spotted for the first time since announcing her split from husband Marc Anthony.

The Latin sensation appeared rather annoyed with the paparazzi as she was being chauffeured in her car leaving a six-hour photo shoot  at MILK studios in Hollywood yesterday. 

While JLo was on the West Coast tending to work, her soon to be ex Marc performed at a concert in Bogota, Columbia where he tried to make light of his divorce:

"They're saying I'm single," Anthony, 42, joked to cheers from the huge crowd at the Símon Bolívar Metropolitan Park in Bogotá. Never mentioning Lopez, 41, by name, Anthony, dressed in a dark suit and open-necked shirt, ran through a rousing set of romantic salsa hits and blew kisses at girls in the crowd, which sang along.

And with the news of their surprising split, sources are popping up left and right to blab about the divorce being in the making for months now:

“I know Marc’s short fuse and explosive temper has been an issue. I’ve always thought Jennifer had learned to deal with that. After all, it’s not like she’s not one to handle herself in big verbal battle. She can let loose herself. … I’ve seen her launch some pretty strong screaming matches!” Meanwhile, a source close to the couple indicated that there were a few folks in the Lopez/Anthony inner circle who knew ahead of time that they were getting divorced.

Still very sad. Lady Lopez will soon be on her way to Elizabeth Taylor status...mark my words. Because let's face it, she won't be alone for long. She loves the comfort of a companion.

"This was a very difficult decision. We have come to an amicable conclusion on all matters." "It is a painful time for all involved," the statement continues, "and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time." Lopez, 41, and Anthony, 42, wed in June 2004 in a casual – and secret – ceremony at Lopez's Beverly Hills home. They have two children, 3-year-old twins Max and Emme.

And what exactly is ¡Q’Viva! The Chosen, you may ask? Well it's the latest television show from powerhouse Jennifer Lopez and hubby Marc Anthony that will bring us a 21-country search to find the world’s most extraordinary talent. 

From July through August, Anthony and Lopez will travel to remote villages and major cities in North, Central and South America searching for new Latin talent. Auditions will be pre-taped, but once the talent has been selected the show will air live in early 2012 from Hollywood, Calif.

Kinda like American Idol and all of the other talent competitions, but with a Latin flair. I can dig it!

Beginning today, you can nominate an act on Facebook or submit an audition tape over on YouTube.
